Is there a catch with the free plan?
No. You can write full length screenplays and export clean PDFs without paying. The only things saved for Pro are unlimited cloud scripts, .fdx export and revision history.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Quillit runs entirely in your browser and works the same on Mac, Windows, Chromebook, tablets and phones. There is nothing to install or update.
Does the free version format my screenplay correctly?
Yes. Scene headings, action, character cues, dialogue, parentheticals and transitions are laid out in standard screenplay format automatically: 12 point Courier, a 1.5 inch left margin and about a page a minute. The PDF matches the page you see.
Do I need an account?
Not to start. Scripts save to your device as you type. Create a free account when you want your scripts synced to the cloud, so they follow you to another computer, tablet or phone.
Can I move my script to other programs?
Yes. Every plan imports and exports Fountain, a plain text format most screenwriting apps read, and opens Final Draft files. Quillit Pro also exports native Final Draft (.fdx) files.
