Questions, answered.

Is Quillit really free?
Yes. The full editor, automatic industry-standard formatting, unlimited local scripts, watermark-free PDF export, and Fountain import/export are free forever — no trial, no time limit.
What do I get with Quillit Pro?
Pro adds unlimited cloud scripts synced across devices, Final Draft (.fdx) export, automatic revision history with restorable snapshots, and the full statistics report. It costs $8/month or $79/year.
Do I own my scripts?
Completely. Your screenplays are yours on every plan, and PDF and Fountain export are always free — you are never locked in.
Does Quillit work offline?
Yes. Quillit is local-first: scripts autosave to your device as you type, with no account required. Cloud sync is layered on top when you sign in.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Quillit runs entirely in your browser on any modern desktop or laptop — nothing to download, nothing to update. Native desktop apps are in the works.
How does the automatic formatting work?
Just type. Start a line with INT. or EXT. and it becomes a scene heading; type a name in capitals and dialogue follows; type an opening parenthesis for a parenthetical. Enter and Tab move you through the page the way the industry expects.
Can I move my script to Final Draft?
Yes. Pro exports industry-standard .fdx files that open directly in Final Draft, and every plan can export Fountain, a plain-text format most screenwriting tools read.
How do I export a PDF?
Open your script, click Export in the top toolbar, and choose PDF. Quillit produces a watermark-free, industry-standard PDF on every plan, including the free one.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from your account page in a couple of clicks, and your scripts remain fully accessible and exportable on the free plan.
